The OMS Solution Architect provides product architecture and technical expertise to the team that consists of OMS Engineers. The Architect must have a complete understanding of the client’s business processes as well as the technical requirements for successful implementation of IBM Sterling Order Management’s software. The Architect ensures the overall quality of the system architecture design, application design, development, testing, and deployment. This includes ensuring that the solution design and delivery meet the customer’s business requirements. The Architect also mentors the functional and technical engineers on the team. The Architect should have hands-on experience and be able to also deliver features. This is a full-time salaried, exempt position.

Job description:
- Conduct discovery sessions and review high level business requirements for Omnichannel & Supply Chain problems
- Architect and propose solutions to Omni-channel commerce and supply chain problems using a blend of IBM Sterling OMS suite of products, best-of-breed packages like JDA, Mulesoft and custom solutions
- Lead detailed design, development, and configuration efforts for Supply Chain & Order Management applications
- Lead technical and business discussions with client, onsite and remote teams and support the Project Manager /Delivery Manager in ensuring project deliverables are on time and of high quality.
- Guide customers and Perfaware project teams through OMS or other Application implementations, upgrade projects
- Advise Project management team on project planning, milestone definition, go-live and solution rollouts, risk identification and mitigation
- Provide technical guidance to Perfaware management team to respond to RFPs and prepare estimates for software implementation projects
- Participate in pre-sales activities such as preparing and making demos to prospective clients using software application and technical skills
- Analyze, troubleshoot and fix or guide team to fix complex functional, deployment or systemic issues with enterprise software applications and custom solutions
- Create best practices and develop reusable frameworks to accelerate project execution
- Design and propose tools for improving software delivery quality and efficacy such as automated testing and continuous deployment
- Support UAT, QA and Performance testing initiatives to meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Identify, learn and champion new technologies, innovative software development & delivery methodologies and new versions of best-of-breed industry products
- Mentor and train Lead Engineers and Senior Engineers/Consultants in Sterling OMS or custom solution development
Required Skills:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering preferably Computer Science or Information Systems
- 7+ years of IBM Sterling OMS implementation/support/testing experience with 5+ years of Implementation and Development of Sterling OMS or similar packaged Enterprise Application
- 10+ Years of Work experience with at least 4 years of Hands-On Java/OMS Development and familiarity with SOA, XML, REST, JSON
- Proficient in tools like Eclipse IDE, SoapUI,
- Familiar with SQL and usage of either Oracle Database or DB2
- Good knowledge of Unix/Shell Scripting
- Familiar with both Waterfall & Agile development methodolgy and tools like JIRA, SVN – GitHub/Bitbucket
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
- Self-starter with motivation and diligence to drive towards results
- Up to 50% annually (all expenses paid) or relocation
