Overview

The Custom Closets Installation Expert measures for, preps for and installs custom closets in customer homes, while providing exceptional customer service.  This position may work solo but usually works as a team with an Installation Assistant during most projects. This position also communicates regularly with Design Consultants, Store Managers and Area Directors.  This is a full-time hourly, non-exempt position base out of our Coppell, TX distribution facility.  This position reports to the Regional Installation Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately measures spaces (in inches and millimeters) and identifies all obstructions that could impact the customer’s design 
  • Provides exceptional customer service and protects all customer property, flooring and walls to prevent damage 
  • Inventories all product and immediately calls in any damaged or missing product to TCS Services 
  • Removes any existing closet systems and performs basic patch and paint on areas removed 
  • Performs accurate and precise installation per the design plans 
  • Ensures that each assigned installation and service call is completed on schedule
  • Performs service orders, if needed, due to errors, damages or missing product to complete a customer’s space 
  • Drives up to 200 miles per day depending on job location, although most jobs are within 25 miles of a DFW metroplex store 
  • Upon completing an installation or service call, inspects work sites and installed units to be neat and thoroughly clean
  • Responsible to have tools necessary to accomplish assigned installations (in accordance with established Installer Tool List)
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information 

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of twelve months of experience or training in same or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Must have a valid drivers license at all times as a requirement of employment.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in professional manner, both verbally and in writing 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Field Service a plus
  • Able to safely use a table saw, miter saw, circular saw, router, nail gun, etc. 
  • Able to measure accurately in inches and millimeters 
  • Takes pride in work with great attention to detail
  • Must be comfortable with interacting with customers in a professional manner and addressing concerns
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in working under tight time pressures and able to separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks
