Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the treasury function including developing investment policy as well as maintaining the Company’s liquidity position on an ongoing basis
- Responsible for all aspects of company term loan and asset-based lending agreements, including periodic refinancing, loan agreement compliance, and loan agreement-related reporting
- Monitors trends and update foreign exchange rate forecast and executes corporate foreign exchange hedging policy
- Maintains positive and constructive relationships with Company’s banking & lending partners and credit agencies
- Responsible for cash forecasting, including 13-week cash flow projections and monthly drivers of company 3-statement model projections
- Responsible for proactive daily cash management as well as communication of projections, excess capacity and borrowing needs
- Reviews and evaluates accounts payable position and payment direction vis-à-vis liquidity management
- Monitors trends and updates interest rate and interest expenses forecast, including projected borrowing balances
- Monitors key vendor exposure and payment terms, in context of credit risk management, including management of letters of credit posted/received
- Reviews and summarizes industry peer performance and activity, as well as market and other economic KPIs, including key commodities
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
- Key contributor to financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes related to Treasury inputs including, but not limited to, interest rate and expenses, foreign exchange, bank fees, commodities risks and working capital drivers.
- Retain, develop, and lead team treasury professionals:
- Provide oversight, direction, coaching, management, and leadership for team members
- Drive the adoption of standard Treasury tools, processes, and practices
- Mentors, motivates, and develops team, while serving as a resource to them in order to facilitate their professional development
- Performs other requested tasks and duties

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- "Business-minded" finance executive who has the ability to go beyond the numbers in analyzing business matters, and makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of The Container Store and our customers
- Ability to provide thought leadership and engage with other senior leaders in addressing complex business issues
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to manage and develop team members including directing and evaluating work, prioritization of ongoing responsibilities, project assignments, coaching and career development
- Ability to drive change, including process improvements as well as implement new processes to increase efficiencies, enhance business partnerships and provide increased visibility to business performance
- Must have outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity, with ability to analyze large amounts of information to draw actionable conclusions and make business recommendations
- Strong leadership presence, and great communication skills with the ability to present their views in a clear and compelling manner, both orally and in writing with all levels within and outside the organization
- Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong bias for action and sense of urgency; must be willing to "roll up the sleeves"

Experience, Education, Certifications and Affiliations:
- Experience: 10+ years in treasury; retail and FP&A experience a plus
- Strong understanding of treasury, corporate finance, and solid understanding of accounting
- Education: Quantitative undergraduate degree, preferably with concentration in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel & financial modeling
- Experience with MicroStrategy, Adaptive Planning, Multiview, and MS PowerPoint a plus
- Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
- Ability to travel 10% a year, based on the business needs
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
