The  Supply Chain Applications Analyst position is responsible for research, analysis, design, proper documentation and support for custom applications and services.  This role includes software enhancement activities and requires experience in high-level languages, an understanding of retail business and collaboration with a team of developers on both individual and group projects.  This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and documents the data model and intersections of the various Supply Chain applications used by the Supply Chain Applications team
  • Identifies and documents common threads for system data and interface elements shared by various systems 
  • Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
  • Attends and participates in development meetings
  • Designs applications in a distributed multi-tier and service oriented environment
  • Works with a development team which may include other developers, subject matter experts, project stakeholders, and/or executive leadership
  • Participates in Scrum and other systems development life cycle (SDLC) practices and processes; understands and follows other company practices, such as PCI security compliance
  • Participates in evolving the Agile/Scrum based SDLC, ensuring that the SDLC meets the needs of the Development Team as well as fitting within the larger organizational processes, personnel and culture
  • Works with systems administrators to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve production issues

Qualifications

 

  • College degree in Information Systems or comparable experience
  • 2+ years academic or work experience in software development
  • Development experience preferred
  • Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies (Scrum), preferred 
  • Ability to work in Windows and UNIX/Linux environments, and with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Ability to collaborate with developers and product owners in designing and developing new software applications and enhancements
