Overview

The Pricing Analyst position is responsible for developing, analyzing and supporting strategic pricing programs to deliver profitable growth. The position works closely with the Senior Director of Pricing and operational business teams including Merchandising, Marketing, Stores, Supply Chain and Technology to support the execution and analysis of all pricing related strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support execution of pricing processes, including managing price record files, executing price changes and promotions, ensuring pricing integrity and compliance.
  • Drives pricing analytics, benchmarking, testing and tracking; recap KPIs, opportunities and successes.
  • Conduct analysis to better understand performance trends, mitigate risks, identify threats, and realize opportunities.
  • Produce ad hoc reporting to enable analysis, recaps, and refinement of pricing and promotional decisions.
  • Supports Buying and Planning teams in key pricing tactic decisions
  • Collaborate on pricing strategy and messaging with Merchandising, Marketing, Digital and Visual teams
  • Partner with Buying and Finance to track commodity, freight and other impacts to COGS.
  • Acquires data from multiple sources using business intelligence (BI) and database tools such as MicroStrategy, Oracle, Cognos, etc.
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Analytics, Pricing, Merchandising and/or Finance
  • Retail experience strongly preferred
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficient in SQL. Tableau, Microstrategy, and Power BI knowledge a plus.
  • Familiarity with retail KPIs including sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.
  • Familiarity with accounting and finance practices and principles
  • Strong analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude with financial analysis and ability to generate insight from large and complex data sets.
  • Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area on a hybrid schedule 
  • Ability to travel 5% a year, based on the business needs
  • Knowledge of retail and passion for following trends in the industry
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
