Social Media Marketing Intern
Overview of Position
The Container Store’s marketing team is seeking a creative and social-savvy summer intern. This team member will be an active contributor creating content for our growing social media channels and engaging with our social community. In addition, they will support high-profile influencer and partner marketing initiatives.
Position Reports To
Manager of Public Relations and Social Media
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates short-form, on-trend video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Brings creative ideas to the team to tap into trends in a relevant and engaging way for the brand
- Actively monitors and engages with The Container Store social communities daily
- Sources UGC and facilitates creator approval to use on brand social channels
- Supports the launch of a reimagined Brand Ambassador program
- Identifies and vets potential influencer and Brand Ambassador partners to support campaigns
- Facilitates product orders, gift card and sample requests for partners
- Collaborates with internal teams including creative, customer care, digital marketing, buying, stores, supply chain and others to execute tasks
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information, as well as developing partnerships
- Performs other requested marketing tasks and duties
Requirements
- Proven video content creation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- Rising college Sophomore, Junior or Senior majoring in a marketing or related track
- Based in Dallas-Fort Worth
- 40 hours per week but can be flexible for the right candidate
- Reliable transportation to appear in office 3 days per week and work from home 2 days per week
