Overview

The OMS Engineer will be responsible for effective delivery, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure for Order Management Systems modules. This individual will be accountable for the support of the Order management system and its associated modules. The associate should be able to design and implement solutions in consultation with the leaders in the team. The associate will deliver system enhancements/fixes, customer support, system maintenance, and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to create detailed technical design for business requirements, implement and secure deployment to production.
  • Must have strong knowledge on order processing functions like Catalog management, Inventory Management, Sourcing, Scheduling and Order Fulfillment
  • Must be able to configure the OMS System based on business requirements.
  • Must have working experience in Retail domain and functional knowledge of Payment, Distributed Order Management, Supply Collaboration, Reverse Logistics
  • Must have strong knowledge on Omni-Channel experience including Store Order Management and Store Fulfillment
  • Hands-on experience with core Java, JSP and web services (REST & SOAP).
  • In-depth experience working with Sterling OMS interfaces with external systems using JMS.
  • Proficient in development of wrapper using Sterling OOTB APIs and configuring them as Sterling services (SDF)
  • Hands-on knowledge of microservices implementation in Java (Spring/ Springboot).
  • Experience with application server architectures (J2EE).
  • Experience working with XMLs, SML parsers, XSLs, and JSON.
  • In depth working experience in Database Oracle, MySQL.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX (HP, IBM, Red Hat LINUX)
  • Experienced working in Agile development teams with Dev-Ops values.
  • Good to have knowledge in any cloud platform
  • Should be able to debug issues using traces, logs and perform RCA
  • Should be able to work on enhancements needed for any existing functionalities.
  • Work on bug fixes (configurations and code changes)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering preferably Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 4+ years of IBM Sterling OMS implementation/support/testing experience or similar packaged Enterprise Application 
  • Deep understanding of OMS systems – Experience with Manhattan SIM/SOFM desirable
  • Proficient in integration patterns such as API, event-driven, pub/sub, real-time streaming, batch, and micro-batch
  • At least 2+ years of Hands-On Java/OMS Development and familiarity with SOA, XML, REST, JSON
  • Proficient in tools like Eclipse IDE, SoapUI,
  • Familiar with SQL and usage of either Oracle Database or PostgreSQL
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Shell Scripting
  • Familiar with both Waterfall & Agile development methodology and tools like JIRA, SVN – GitHub/Bitbucket
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Self-starter with motivation and diligence to drive towards results
  • Enthusiasm to learn new tools, technologies, and techniques
  • Based in the DFW area on a hybrid schedule 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
