Overview

The Engineering Finals Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the daily design workload of the Engineering Finals Team, focused on Preston and other product lines. This position will ensure the workload routed to the Finals Team is completed in a timely manner; this involves finalizing the design and completing any necessary edits prior to sending to manufacturing. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

 

This role is based at C Studio Manufacturing, recently acquired by The Container Store. C Studio Manufacturing is a home storage solutions and closet organization manufacturer in the U.S. C Studio Manufacturing has been crafting sanctuaries and creating a sense of order for over 34+ years. Responsibilities

  • Communicates expectations and effectively evaluates employee performance and department objectives
  • Works with the Engineering Finals team to ensure that the end-to-end customer experience matches the customer expectations
  • Allocates resources on the daily schedule to maintain expectations for design turnaround times and proper coverage
  • Leads, coaches and trains Engineering Finals team on employee’s needs, goals, and career aspirations
  • Directs and evaluates the flow of work for department
  • Meets weekly with Management team to maintain high levels of open communication
  • Communicates consistently to share relevant business information with the team while using all available resources
  • Reads all company and department-specific reporting and partners with the Manager to establish relevant action plans
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of CAD experience, manufacturing experience a plus
  • Ability to travel 5% a year, based on the business needs
  • Experience managing others including career development, directing and evaluating work
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
  • Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
  • Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
