The Senior Accountant position is responsible for the month end close process, preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations, analysis of inventory accounts and recording entries to the general ledger.  A significant portion of this position is focused on inventory accounting, but duties will include other areas as well.  The position requires an in depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and works closely with others on the accounting team to produce and analyze company financials while assisting with other strategic projects as required.

• Responsible for inventory accounting transactions, including shrink, out of stock inventory movements, in transit inventory, cost of sales analysis, product and freight receipts analysis, and stock ledger reporting
• Responsible for all inventory related reconciliations
• Oversee other expense categories as assigned, including monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Communicate regularly with other departments on accounting related questions
• Assist with interim and year-end audits
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and monthly financial statement review

• Education: BS or BA, concentration in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 3+ years of General Ledger experience
• Retail experience a plus
• Experience with Multiview a plus
• Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area on a hybrid schedule
• Must be at least 18 years of age
